Summer Job Spotlight ... CNE recruitment drive winding down

If you're hoping to land a summer job with the 2015 CNE and haven't submitted your application, spend time over the next day or two getting your resume and cover letter ready as the main CNE recruiting and hiring blitz is winding down. In fact, I expect it will be finished by the end of the month, if not sooner.

Over the weekend, I checked the CNE's Job Board and noticed that they are recruiting for seven jobs, down from the 20+ jobs originally posted in May:
The difficulty is that many of these jobs have experience, education, age, or credential requirements that might disqualify you from consideration. For example, if you don't have your G license, you cannot apply for the EXpress Train Driver role and you must be at least 16 years old to apply for the EXpress Train/Stop Conductor position.

If you are still looking for a CNE job, spend a few minutes (either today or tomorrow) and review each job description to see if there's a role that interests you. If you find there's a role that suits your skills and experience, quickly review my post on how to find a summer job with the CNE and submit your application as soon as possible.

If there isn't a role that fits your skills and experience, don't worry. There will be countless CNE jobs advertised in July and August as midway/games operators, food service providers, retail outlets, and exhibition partners all require staff. However, it's important to note that they typically hire closer to the start of the CNE. Check back regularly as I'll be posting job details once I start to see recruitment ads posted on other sites.

Good luck!
