It's August and you know what that means ... the CNE's almost here!
Every year, the CNE rolls in to Exhibition Place in downtown Toronto and there are countless opportunities available to obtain valuable work experience by working with the CNE itself or with one of its exhibitors/service providers.
For today, I'm going to focus on listing the jobs available with the CNE and its operations team.
- Program Facilitator - Arts & Heritage
- Admission Ticket Seller
- Gate Attendant
- Traffic Director
- EXpress Train Driver
- International Stage Emcee/Assistant
- Supervisor - Friends of the CNE
To apply for jobs with the CNE, visit the CNE Jobs Website to create a profile. Once you have a profile created, you can apply for various CNE jobs. And be sure to read each job advertisement carefully - some require a valid drivers' license, others require steel toe boots.
As a rule of thumb, only apply to jobs with the CNE if you are available to work all 18 days of the CNE - from August 15 to September 1. You might not be working every day but you can't apply and then turn around and expect a week off if you're going away for a vacation. The CNE gets more than 10,000 applications and not having the required availability and flexibility to work various shifts will cause your resume to be overlooked.
Be sure to check back within a few days for a list of service providers and exhibitors that are looking for staff. Alternatively, you can also check out my 2014 CNE Summer Jobs page for an up-to-date listing of available jobs.
