Summer Job Spotlight ... CNE hiring begins

Although the CNE is months away, the Recruitment Team at Canada's largest exhibition and fair have already posted information on how to apply for a summer job at this year's Ex.

The actual recruitment process doesn't begin until May 1, 2010; however, those that are extra eager can already begin working on their application and preparing for the CNE's annual job fair (date to be determined).

Applications will be accepted from May 1 until the July 31, 2010 deadline and the team advises that applicants apply before July 1, 2010 to ensure it is received on time.

In order to apply, you must be at least 14 years old - some jobs will require applications to be older for bonding/insurance purposes. As well, if you are hired, you will need to provide a valid Social Insurance Card and if necessary, a valid work permit.

Due to the size and scope of the CNE, there are more than 20 different job opportunities, each with multiple vacancies to be filled:

- Admissions Ticket Taker

- AgVenture Attendant

- Audit Supervisor

- Auditor

- Blower Operator

- Compactor Operator

- EXpress Train Driver

- EXpress Train Conductor

- Floor Manager

- Food Building Attendant

- Found Children / Lost & Found

- Funline Attendant

- HorseCapades Attendant

- Information Booth Attendant

- Kids World Attendant

- Midnight Grounds Crew

To apply, you must complete the 2010 CNE employment application form and attach a copy of your resume.

Please note that only 1 application per season is accepted and duplicates, including those sent before, during, and after the job fair, will not be processed.

And just like most other companies, the staff at the Summer Staffing Office will not be able to answer questions about the status of your application as only successful applicants will be contacted.
