To work in Park Operations and Golf Course Maintenance, you will need to complete the required Vancouver Parks and Recreation Application for Employment - Outside Workforce form. Completed forms, along with a resume, can be faxed to 604-257-8185 or can be dropped-off in person at the Vancouver Park Board's office located at 2099 Beach Avenue.
If instead, you desire a position as a Golf Course, Pitch & Putt and Garden Cashier, then you'll need to complete a different application - the
Vancouver Parks and Recreation Application for Cashiers form. According to the online posting, application forms and resumes - should you decided to include one - can be faxed to 604-257-8185.

- Beach/Outdoor Pool Lifeguards:
Applications are available from the Vancouver Aquatic Centre located at 1050 Beach Avenue. To apply, contact the Supervisor of Beaches and Outdoor Pools at the Aquatic Centre and ask about Vancouver's annual Lifeguard School, which runs from January to April. More details are available at the Lifeguard Job Opportunities and Hiring Procedures website.
- Outdoor Pool Swim Instructor and Cashier Positions:
Forward applications/resumes to the Vancouver Aquatic Centre located at 1050 Beach Avenue. You can also fax it to them directly at 604-665-3455. Please note that all indoor pool staff are recruited at local community-based facilities, year round.
- Playground Leader Positions (July-August):
Contact Recreation Programmers at our 23 local community centres. For phone numbers and addresses, refer to the blue pages of the telephone book. Look under City of Vancouver - Parks and Recreation Board - Community Centres. Alternatively visit their website for a listing of local Community Centres. Completed applications and resumes are accepted at each centre in March/April.
