Summer Job Spotlight ... Go west to the gold rush!

Okay, it's not a real gold rush, but Hell's Gate Airtram has some great summer employment opportunities for students.

The best part is that they are located right in the heart of the Fraser Canyon in British Columbia - not only do you work, but the stunning scenery will have you feeling like your on a constant "vacation" from the hustle and bustle of city life.

They typically hire a number of students to work during the April to October period. As an attraction, they hire tram operators, ticket sales people, retail staff, and kitchen staff. So really, there's something for everyone, regardless of what you're interested in and/or what you're experienced in.

And yes, it is quite remote, as it's about 2.5 hours from Vancouver. But they offer staff accommodation - 4 people share a cabin with a full bathroom and kitchen. You only have to supply bedding and pay a small fee for monthly utilities. Plus, they offer some really interesting staff social events, like rafting trips!

What I really like about Hell's Gate is that they try and answer every employment submission - and I've always said it's better to be told that they've hired someone else rather than wait (and wait and wait) for a phone call or e-mail!

To apply, either fill out an online application or download an application and send it to them by mail.

The application forms can be found here. Apply soon though because they are opening in 24 days, but I've heard they are still looking for staff.
